It provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, offering a serene and tranquil environment. The lodge itself has been beautifully restored with a touch of nostalgia, transporting me back to a simpler time. The shared facilities gave it a cozy and homely atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The spacious communal lounge and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen were a delight. Outside, the garden with its apple trees and vegetable patches was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The hosts, Kathryn and Alex, were cute and friendly, always ready to assist with any queries. Although the lodge didn't have all the modern amenities, it did provide comfort and excellent value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider returning. I highly recommend this charming retreat.
