It provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, offering a serene and tranquil environment. The lodge itself has been beautifully restored with a touch of nostalgia, transporting me back to a simpler time. The shared facilities gave it a cozy and homely atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The spacious communal lounge and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen were a delight. Outside, the garden with its apple trees and vegetable patches was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The hosts, Kathryn and Alex, were cute and friendly, always ready to assist with any queries. Although the lodge didn't have all the modern amenities, it did provide comfort and excellent value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider returning. I highly recommend this charming retreat.

The location of this place was great - nestled in the beautiful countryside, it provided a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. the farmhouse kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. the communal lounge was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The noise from other guests in the neighboring rooms was quite disruptive, especially late at night. It would have been helpful if there were clear house rules regarding quiet hours.
